---------------------------

KC-based Citizens for Justice in the Middle East (CJME) seeks to educate the American public about the issues involved in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and to end U.S. support for the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories.

With that in mind CJME is presenting two ground-level events focusing on Israel and Palestinian territories. On Thursday, July 17, come out to hear Joe Carr's report on his work with the International Solidarity Movement, which practices "nonviolent, direct-action methods of resistance to confront and challenge illegal Israeli occupation forces and policies."

A second event on July 22 is a presentation by Fred Schlomka, who has worked with the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions the past two year. Fred will be in Kansas City to talk about and raise funds for a new project -- Mosaic Communities -- which is working to build integrated housing in Israel.
