1) November 17 - IN THE NAME OF SECURITY - Documentary on the April 2002 invasion of West Bank cities and refugee camps

An important new documentary video about Israel’s April 2002 invasion of Palestinian towns, cities & refugee camps.

In May of 2002, a delegation from the National Lawyers Guild traveled throughout the West Bank to investigate allegations of war crimes by the Israeli military. What the delegation found was a state-sponsored campaign aimed at destroying the identity and culture of the Palestinian people. This 27-minute video documents what they saw. Through interviews with Israelis and Palestinians and documentation of destroyed cities and impassable checkpoints, the video describes a brutal occupation designed to prevent statehood and tells the story of the strength of the Palestinian people.

Help promote the video screening -- print & distribute in public spaces!

About us: Kansas City-based Citizens for Justice in the Middle East (CJME) seeks to educate the American public about the issues involved in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and to end U.S. support for the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories.

Composed of Kansas City area citizens concerned about the direction of U.S. policy in the Middle East, Citizens for Justice in the Middle East urges ordinary American citizens to speak out in favor of an even-handed U.S. policy in the Middle East that recognizes the rights and aspirations of both Israelis and Palestinians. Only by respecting the need to provide both parties in the conflict with security and self-determination can a viable and just peace be assured.
