Kansas City joins nationwide protests in response to incursion of Gaza and Lebanon
Urge Immediate Ceasefire on All Sides

Hundreds of concerned Kansas City area residents will join a peace rally sponsored by the Muslim American Society Freedom Foundation/Kansas City and Citizens for Justice in the Middle East on Saturday, August 12 at 11:00 am at the JC Nichols fountain, 47th & Main Street, in Kansas City, Missouri in response to Israel's military incursion in Gaza and Lebanon.

Rally organizers are asking people to support an immediate ceasefire on all sides. There is a looming humanitarian crisis in Gaza and Lebanon resulting from aid cuts, destroyed electrical power plants affecting water supplies, blown-up bridges, and damage to other parts of the infrastructure necessary to sustain life for Gaza's 1.3 million civilians and five million Lebanese civilians.  Major demonstrations will be held on August 12 in Washington DC, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Kansas City and many other cities that call for an immediate ceasefire and halt to the civilian attacks.

One of the rally organizers, MAS Freedom Foundation-Kansas City, strives to heighten American public awareness of the political and humanitarian plight of the Palestinian and Lebanese people. The only way out of the carnage is an immediate and unconditional ceasefire on all sides, followed by multiparty negotiations to resolve the underlying political disputes based on human rights and international law. Most of the world agrees, but the governments of the U.S., Britain, and Israel have so far rejected calls for an immediate cease-fire.
