Well, I'm done speaking for now, sort of. In
the last month and a half, I did over 50 presentations and
performances to churches, colleges, high schools and community
groups in 17 cities across five states including Missouri, Iowa,
Kansas, Illinois, and Georgia. I've sold over 150 copies of my album
and raised over $4000 for CPT. I did interviews with five local
papers, three radio shows, and two public-access television shows. I
met amazing activists organizing incredible local projects,
including Muslims, Jews, Christians, students, teachers, musicians
and anarchists all working for peace and justice.
So needless to say, I'm exhausted and am taking
a few weeks off before heading back to Palestine in early April. In
my time "off", I'm doing a few events in Chicago. I'm performing at
an event on March 16th, Rachel Memorial Day (two-year anniversary of
her murder) and speaking at a rally against the Iraq War on March
19th (the two-year anniversary of the start of the war). I'm
traveling to Mexico with my family to visit my sister studying
there. In Mexico I'll do a presentation or two in and around Mexico
City and Guanojurto (sp). I'm also helping plan an event in Kansas
City for the International Day of Action Against Caterpillar on
April 13th.
Welcome to all of you new to my list, I enjoyed
meeting you and sharing my stories, poetry, and music. I hope you
continue to enjoy the updates, stories, and action requests I will
be sending out.
Thanks to all of you who help make this work
possible. Your donations, thoughts, prayers, and words of
encouragement are essential. keep it up, I look forward to hearing
about projects you all plan locally.
In peace, solidarity, and business
